Online Virtual Robotics, STEM career badge for Girls, Girl Scouts (2nd -3rd Grades)

Girl Scouts can learn to program a virtual robot and will work towards their robotics badge, and STEM career badge. By completing this course Girl Scouts 2nd -3rd grades, can qualify for a robot programming badge, coding badge, and STEM career badge. THIS IS A FREE PROGRAM BUT MINIMUM 5 STUDENTS ARE NEEDED FOR THE SESSION. Please note: Events in March & April 2022 will include activites for Robot Design & Show Case badge!
What will you learn?
- Meet an industry mentor and hear their STEM journey story! Learn about STEM careers!
- Girls will learn how to code to control and drive robots, speed racers, self-driving cars towards their robotics badges! No prior experience necessary!
- Learn block programming, integrate touch sensors, ultrasonic sensors to your virtual robot!
- Badges can be purchased separately. This course will be taught online via zoom, by youth mentors from Education Empowers Inc. and experts from tech industry, who will be joining to share their STEM journey.
Dates/Time: Various. Please see below. Please note that the event will be cancelled / rescheduled if there are very low registrations.
Upon completing this registration form, parents will receive a zoom link to join in real time. Parents will need to be present for the first 15 -20 minutes to assist with login and screen setup.
Location: Online video conferencing Zoom or Webex platform with security features.
Technology Required: Please note this program requires internet access, a PC or MAC, or Chromebook with the latest Chrome browser and a minimum 64 bit CPU and 4 GB RAM (8 GB preferred).
