What will you learn?
- Meet an industry engineer and hear their STEM journey story!
- Learn how to code to control and drive robots, speed racers, self-driving cars and join virtual robotics competitions! Students will have the option to join Coderz virtual robotics competition! No prior experience is necessary!
- Learn block programming, integrate ultrasonic sensors, bumper, color & gyro sensors to your robot.
- Get introduced to Autonomous Driving (AD), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and computer vision.
- This course will be taught online via zoom, by youth mentors from Education Empowers Inc. and experts from tech industry, who will be joining to share their STEM journey.
- Students can access coding software until Spring 2021.
Date & Time: Starting Fridays in October & November
Multiple sessions available. Please choose any one of the session options below. You do not have to attend all the sessions:
- Session 1: 10/23/2020 & 10/30/2020. Friday, 6:00 - 7:30PM Arizona Time (MST), October 23 & 30. (Suitable for India time zone: October 24, Saturday 6:30 am)
- Session 2: 11/06/2020 & 11/13/2020. Friday, 3:00 - 4:30PM Arizona Time (MST), November 06 & 13.
- Session 3: 11/06/2020 & 11/13/2020. Friday, 6:00 - 7:30PM Arizona Time (MST), November 06 & 13. (Suitable for India time zone: November 07, Saturday 6:30am)
Students will have the option to join virtual robotics competition to continue their learning!
Time: Starting on Fridays at 3:00 PM & at 6:00 PM Arizona Time (MST). Upon completing this registration form, parents will receive a zoom link to join in real time. Parents will need to be present for the first 15 -20 minutes to assist with login and screen setup.
Location: Online video conferencing Zoom platform with security features.
Technology Required: Please note this program requires internet access, a PC or MAC, or Chromebook with the latest Chrome browser and a minimum 64 bit CPU and 4 GB RAM (8 GB preferred).
